Zjawiska złożone, procesy nierównowagowe i przetwarzanie informacji przy wykorzystaniu reakcji chemicznych

Tematyka badawcza
Zespół 24 prowadzi badania nad układami o złożonej ewolucji czasowo-przestrzennej. Przedmiotem naszych zainteresowań jest identyfikacja struktur stacjonarnych, przejść fazowych oraz charakterystyka ewolucji czasowej układów ograniczonych przestrzennie o specyficznych typach oddziaływań (oddziaływania typu SALR -przyciąganie na małych odległościach i odpychanie dalekiego zasięgu, oddziaływania generowane stężeniem cząsteczek powierzchniowo aktywnych).
Prowadzimy też badania nad zjawiskami dalekimi od równowagi termodynamicznej oraz nad zastosowaniem reakcji chemicznych dla przetwarzania informacji. W badaniach stosujemy metody teoretyczne fizyki statystycznej, mikroskopowe symulacje komputerowe oparte o dynamikę molekularną oraz zaawansowane metody optymalizacji wykorzystujące algorytmy genetyczne.
Prowadzimy eksperymenty nad nieliniowymi reakcjami chemicznymi (reakcja Biełousowa-Żabotyńskiego) oraz nad złożoną ewolucją obiektów, które samorzutnie poruszają się na powierzchni wody.
