Project description

Project title, type and project number

Elaboration of unconventional nanostructured perovskites and zinc oxide through compositional and morphological engineering for game-changing improvements in light harvesting devices, MAESTRO 11, 2019/34/A/ST5/00416, 52/2023

Project leader

Prof. dr hab. inż. Janusz Lewiński

Description

Main objectives of the project are directed to tackle challenges concerning either the perovskite absorber layer and the ZnO-based ETL. We develop mechanochemical processes for the preparation of highly advanced multicomponent MHP inks. We also focus on the development of controlled growth of MHP materials with various morphologies including single crystals, nanowires and unprecedented nanotubes/microtubes. In regard to ZnO-based ETL, we elaborate new high-quality ZnO and metal-doped ZnO nanostructures by the developed in our group one-pot self-supporting organometallic (OSSOM) procedure (or its modification) from well-defined organozinc precursors. Finally, the relationship between device performance and bulk physical properties of both MHPs and  ZnO materials is systematically investigated.
